Tiger Stadium 1 West Stadium Road, Baton Rouge, LA, 70894

Tiger Stadium is well-known for being home to football team Tigers, the collegiate team that represents Louisiana State University. It is famous in the country for being among the best college football venues with game day atmospheres. And it is also seen as one of the toughest places for an opposing team to play. And it is seen as the loudest stadium of all college football venues in the country.

In terms of capacity, the venue comes in the 18th position of largest stadiums in the world. In a unanimous vote, the LSU Board of Supervisors voted for an expansion of the south end-zone upper deck that will cost million. And the extension will give the addition of nearly 3,000 club seats, 1,500 general public seats, and 60 "Tiger Den" suites. And the construction that started in October 2012 is expected to be completed in summer 2014.

The stadium is also famous for hosting night games, and that tradition started since 1931. In 2006, the LSU celebrated the 75th year of night games. In 1988, the Tigers played against Auburn in what has become known as “Earthquake Game” as it was attended by a crowd of 79,431 fans. The Tigers defeated Auburn 7-6. In 2005 NFL season, the New Orleans Saints moved to play their games at the stadium due to the damage of the Superdome where they play by Hurricane Katrina.
